Types of Waste

• Acceptable Waste: Household trash, such as household food waste, paper, plastics and general light yard debris, is acceptable.

• Please place all waste in trash bags and ensure the bags are securely tied.

• Loose Trash: Loose trash should not be placed in the tote. Loose trash in tote may not be picked up.

• Excessive Weight: If there is excessive weight in tote, there may be an additional fee of $10 billed. 

• Extra Trash: Please do not place trash outside or around the tote unless approved by contacting us by phone or email. There will be an extra charge for additional "approved" trash outside of what will fit into the tote, If the additional trash is not approved, it may not be picked up. If it is picked up, a bill will be sent for the extra trash at the current rate per bag based on size. Contact us for current fees. 

• Broken Glass: If you place broken glass in trash, please place it in a box or container that will not rip and mark it clearly with "Broken Glass" to ensure safe handling and the safety of our driver.

• Cardboard Boxes: If disposing of cardboard box(es), please ensure to break down to flat or tear into pieces and place in bag. Excessive boxes may require a special pick up and/or extra charge. 

• Prohibited Items: Hazardous waste, such as chemicals, batteries, electronics, paint, tires, medical waste, drywall or remodeling debris, any type of tv including flat screen, large amounts of wood, broken furniture or items with excessive weight.

Please contact us if there is any question as to whether an item is acceptable.

Collection Days and Times

• Pick-Up Schedule: Trash should be collected on scheduled pick up day. Please place your trash out by 8am on your designated collection day.

• Late Pick-Up: If trash is not collected by the end of the day due to unforeseen circumstances or due to a holiday, please leave it out until the next scheduled pick-up.    NOTE: We will always try to pick up within the same week, if this should occur.  We will also try to send out a notification email for delays or record a message on our phone line, when possible. For observed holidays, trash pick-up will be scheduled to the next day.
